Submitting a Timesheet for Approval - Payroll Portal

Filled timesheets must be submitted for approval either by the employee, or on their behalf by their team leader or admin. Here's how to submit a timesheet.

If a timesheet is due, it can be submitted for approval within the Payroll Portal. 

Timesheets can be submited by:

The Team Leader of this team (on behalf of a team member)
Any Admin User (on behalf of any employee)
This Employee (own timesheet)
Another Employee (someone else's timesheet)


Let's look at an example timesheet drafted in the Payroll Portal:

On the My Timesheets Page:

  1. Notice how the timesheet status changes.
    1. Currently it is in ‘Draft
    2. After you’ve submitted, it will be ‘Submitted’.
  2. Click on the ‘Submit Now’ button at the bottom right of the screen to submit this timesheet.
  3. You will see a pop-up message checking that you have completed the full timesheet.
    1. If you are ready to submit, click ‘Confirm
    2. If you want to make changes, click ‘Cancel
  4. You will see a blue banner appear for a few seconds at the bottom of your screen to say that you have submitted a timesheet.
    1. Also, note the status changed from ‘Draft’ to ‘Submitted’.
    2. The Team Leader and Admins will also see the status change in their Portals, indicating that your timesheet is ready for review.
