Timesheets submitted must be reviewed before approval by the Team Leader or Admin. This article shows you how to review timesheets within the Payroll Portal.

Reviewing timesheets within the Payroll Portal is quick and easy.
To use the Timesheets feature, it must be turned on for the employee. If you can't view an employee's timesheet, please ask the Payroll Admin or employer to turn on this feature.
Timesheets can be reviewed by:
✅ | The Team Leader of this team |
✅ | Any Admin User |
❌ | Another employee |
Let's look at an example timesheet submitted in the Payroll Portal:
From the Team Timesheet page, click on the employee whose timesheet you want to review. This will open their submitted timesheet where you can find the following:
- Review the employee’s total submitted hours for this pay period.
- The timesheet status is displayed here.
- Note: this will update as you approve/decline the timesheet. Your employee will see this status.
- The pay period for this timesheet is here.
- You can click in this field to view other timesheets for this employee, or to fill a timesheet on behalf.
- Each day with their timesheet entries is displayed in order. Scroll down till you’ve reviewed every entry.
- If the employee added notes to specific entries, they will show below the time entry.
- Employees can split their workday into multiple work hours entries.
- A time gap in the day indicates an unpaid break.
- Use this field to enter notes you want the employee to see.
- Approve or decline the timesheet here.
