Setting Up COUNT Integration

Thankyou Payroll integrates with your COUNT account so you can easily track and process payments. This article shows you how to connect these accounts.

COUNT is an accounting platform used by businesses to manage workflows, process invoices, and reconcile financials. This guide shows you how to integrate Thankyou Payroll with your COUNT account, enabling you to automatically send payroll invoices to COUNT and customise your invoicing template.


Where to Start:

From the dashboard:

  1. Go to Settings ⇒ select COUNT Integration.

    This will take you to the COUNT integration tab so you can connect this account.

  2. Select Connect to COUNT.

    This will open the log in page for COUNT.


  3. Enter your COUNT log in credentials and select Sign In.

  4. Check all boxes to:
    • ☑︎ View: personal user data
    • ☑︎ View: workspace data
    • ☑︎ View: accounting data
    • ☑︎ Update: accounting data

  5. Select the Workspace to authorize Thankyou Payroll access to from the dropdown menu.


  6. Select Authorize

    You will be redirected back to your Thankyou Payroll account.

  7. Under Vendor List, select the business you want the payroll details to be invoiced to.



  8. Under Gross Wages Map, select how you wish to map Gross Wages from Thankyou Payroll to COUNT.

  9. Under Employer Kiwisaver Map, select how you wish to map Employer KiwiSaver from Thankyou Payroll to COUNT. 

  10. Select Update Code Map to save your selections.

That is it! You have now integrated with COUNT.

Info - Blue Block (1) Pressing the Reset/Disconnect COUNT Integration button will break the connection between Thankyou Payroll and COUNT. You will need to re-establish the connection by repeating the setup steps above.
