Checking the Value of an Alternative Leave Day added to a Timesheet
You can also check the value of the alternative leave day earned for working on a public holiday that is also an otherwise working day.
Note that the amount paid for Alternative Leave is calculated when it is taken, not when it is earned.
Follow this link for a quick reminder of how to add alternative leave gained from working on a public holiday to your employee's timesheet.
- In your saved timesheet (with green boxes), left-click in the entry field of the 'Alt Hol [+](days)' entry to access the calculation data for that entry. Scroll down to find the cost tracking information below the timesheet.
- This line shows the value for the 1 entry for 'Alt Hol [+](days) on Friday 14 July doesn't have a monetary value calculated at this time. This is correct, as this entry will add 1 day of Alternative Leave to the employee's balance to be taken at a different time.
Note that this will provide evidence of the date that an employee received their alternative leave allocation in compliance with the Holidays Act. This forms part of the Employee's Leave and Time Record.
